Wondering if anyone uses any type of food-wash instead of just rinsing veggies with water.
When the food comes from my own garden I don't worry so much about what's on it. I know I haven't used any sort of chemicals and no one else has touched any of it with their filthy who-knows-where-they've-been hands!
But when I buy veggies at the store I always wonder what kind of stuff I might not be cleaning off completely.
Does anyone have any product they use or suggestions for this sort of thing?
Thanks!

I soak in cold water with a splosh of white vinegar and rinse well. I believe the p.h. is enough to kill most bacteria.
I'm not too diligent about it, but I've never been sick from food either.

Everybody is a genius, but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will spend its whole life believing that it is stupid...~Albert Einstein~

Brilliant! I've never that quote before and really appreciate it!
