I was just at the store and checked Crest, Scope, Act, Listerine and all the store brands....none claimed not to test on animals. Is there any product that anyone knows of that is cruelty-free?

Also am having a hard time finding face scrub (exfoliant). I've been to three stores and couldn't even find something at the co-op.....hmmph.

Am starting to think I should just make this stuff myself, can't be too hard, right?

Any suggestions are appreciated, thanks!

Desert Essence also has a Tea Tree one apparently - I have seen it on the Vegan Essentials site but I haven't tried it.

They sell the Nature's Gate one too - boy, is it cute looking too! Looks like a little bottle of wine or something.

For the exfoliant, I use Burts Bees Orange Scrub - I love it. I also use a ayate cloth.

To make at home, you could use oatmeal as a scrub or sea salt.

Queen Helene has an apricot (I think it's apricot) scrub that's cruelty free.

As far as mouthwashes, I know Toms of Maine has some, as well as some of the other better-known natural brands.

I know. That annoys me because Arm & Hammer is the only kind I can find in bulk (5# bags.)

And I was at Whole Foods a couple weeks ago and noticed they sell arm and hammer baking soda...wtf?

I know it's horrible. Even at the local natural foods store here - they have Arm and Hammer.

Well I found two other ones but have no idea of their cruelty-free status:

http://www.glorybeefoods.com/gbf/Sho...me=baking+soda

http://www.walgreens.com/store/produ...&id=prod374629

Yeah, which is why I cringe everytime I brush my teeth in the morning. Literally. (I'm using the rest of the tube that I already have, then I'll buy a different brand.)

I found this website via a blog I read ... http://www.cosmeticsdatabase.com/ ... maybe it will help you out with finding products to use. I spent hours going through the site, checking out the products I use and Wow!, I was surprised by some of the results. On the flip side, I found lots of products to replace them!

Lush have a lot of vegan products and they're all labelled with the vegan society logo. They do a really nice exfoliating cleanser called 'Angels on bare skin'.
