My friend and I have a disagreement about whether or not tickling is flirting. One of us believes that it is and the other believes that even a full on tickle fight is not necessarily flirting. What do you think?

Gosh I hope not. I pretend to tickle people online a lot.

Since I've seen siblings have full-on tickle fights, I sure as hell hope not.

It really depends on the people involved, some people are just more comfortable with platonic physical contact and really like to play-fight and wrestle and stuff. Others are more aloof. If a person who is usually aloof suddenly starts tickling and playfighting, that may be an indication of romantic interest, but with a more touchy-feely person, it probably means very little.

I think it entirely depends on who is doing tickling who and vice versa. My dad still tickles me.... I am 24. I don't consider that flirting. I think its teasing. However I have known boys I liked at school to use it as a form of flirting, so in those situations I would have to say yes!

Tickling me means you're about to get yourself smacked. I hate being tickled. I don't know if it's meant to be flirting or not, but if it were it would fail miserably on me.

I would punch somebody in the face if they tried to tickle me.

Yea same here. That's borderline harassment to me. I'm talking about people I don't know that well, btw. With a friend I wouldn't feel so harshly. (although I still wouldn't like it)

My brother and I still tickle each other sometimes when we're feeling silly, so it sure as heck isn't always flirting. Depends on the situation and people involved.

I'm not ticklish at all, so it's just touching to me - like a series of light pokes.

Is a kiss always romantic?

It is if it's on the mouth and a non related member of the opposite sex (assuming one swings that way).

If it's not between family members or children, absolutely.

Are you replying about the kiss or the tickle fight?

I'm the opposite. My Wife just pokes my belly and I'm suddenly the Pilsbury Dough Boy whacked out on crack cocaine.

If it's not a close friend or a family member, tickling usually is flirting.

However, if I had just met the person like 10 mins ago and they tried to do that.. that would definitely be violating personal space boundaries and they would get told off.
