This is the first thread I've so if it's weird that may be why.

I don't know about you but I really enjoy (and always have) enjoyed eating poptarts. However before eating one I don't think I would ever think about poptarts having gelatin in them. But all of us vegans & vegetarians luck they do. :-( anyway, I just thought I would share this with everyone.

Never really preferred Pop-Tarts myself. They're considered a breakfast food, and a horrible one at that.

I like my tofu scramble in the morning. ^_^

Just get the unfrosted ones-- no gelatin. I LOVE brown sugar cinnamon. I have some in the pantry right now. Yeah, there's no question they're a horrible food... that's why they're right at the top of my list of Guilty Pleasures!

The co-op I go to has healthy pop-tart esque toaster pasteries. Some have frosting, though I'm not sure if it has gelatin or not... However, unfrosted pop-tarts don't have gelatin.

(On the breakfast foods front.. in case you didn't know, frosted mini wheats frosting also has gelatin)

I loved the brown sugar cinnamon ones. I liked them with frosting, but since going veg, the unfrosted brown sugar ones with some kind of buttery spread are awe-some. Ok..someone needs to invent some raw ones.

Heh! Aren't breakfasts SUPPOSED to be filled with unhealthy, sugary, bad-for-you yumminess?

I can't stomach much of anything in the mornings, just never have been much for breakfasts. But my kids? They LOVE the unfrosted ones if I break down and buy them. Which I do.

I like the unfrosted pop tarts. I haven't had any others since becoming vegan. I loved toter stroodles, haven't had those since being vegan either. Don't trust foods with chemicals in the ingredients....

I do like frosted pop-tarts. I'll buy the chocolate or vanilla fudge ones every once in a great great while. They're too expensive and too fattening to buy very often though. Gelatin doesn't bother me, so I don't care about that. Sometimes I'll get unfrosted strawberry though, which is okay too.

But I prefer trail mix bars myself anyways, healthier and tastier.

I've always preferred the unfrosted ones anyway, so it's no biggie to me. I have unfrosted brown sugar cinnamon ones in my pantry and yes, they are vegan. Loaded with refined flour, refined sugar, partially hydrogenated oils, and high fructose corn syrup, but vegan.

Maybe it's just me, but I've always found pop tarts to be gross.

i used to love chocolate chip cookie dough, oreo, and strawberry poptarts. I ate them when i was little and unaware of the sugars and calories. Now that im older and know more about nutrition, i would prefer a healthier breakfast
