I can't believe that when I joined this board, I hated to cook. Now I'm turning into a cooking nut.

I wake up in the morning and think: "I've had a vision of SunnyK's Vegan Persian Stew with Rice." Or, "Holy moly, my new Artichoke Mushroom Cheeseless Pizza just struck me like a blinding light." I can hardly keep up with all the things I want to cook. I have to start taking notes!!

*SunnyK drifts off into vegan restaurant fantasy....*

All the time. My bf used to be startled when I'd be watching tv, or reading a book, or walking somewhere, and say to him "Let's try cooking this". I'm currently trying to replicate some sweet-and-sour tofu slices that I've found at a hfs and I'm constantly thinking of what could be missing.

As to taking notes, that's a great idea! I've written recipes for a local paper which got me into the habit of writing down what I was cooking, but I'm not very good about keeping my notes.

yes! it happens all the time with me! sometimes it's just me wanting to recreate a dish from my childhood, only without the animal products...and sometimes it's something completely new! i especially like new soups and salads and sandwich fillings. casseroles are fun too!
