In this thread I'll post on some of the features of VB that you may have overlooked. I will try to post a new one each week. Some you may be familiar with and some you may not. Either way it should be beneficial to some of you and hopefully new members as well. I'll start out with...<br><br><br><br><b>Did you know that each member has their own referral ID?</b><br><br><br><br>
This is a unique url that you can use to refer your friends to VeggieBoards (they can also enter your name on the sign-up screen). This helps us keep track of how many new members you refer. To get your referral ID click the "help" button above. Under "general board usage" click the "what are referrals" link. And there it is.<br><br><br><br>

<b>Did you know you can check to see if private messages have been read by the recipient?</b><br><br><br><br>
If you've sent a PM to someone and you want to know if they've read it go into your private messages and click the "pm tracking" button at the bottom. The next screen you see will be split in two - the top section shows PM's unread by the recipient and the bottom section shows PM's that have been read by the recipient. Also, unless the recipient has set their online status to "hidden" you can see when they were last online.

I'm running out of tricks & tips! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/smiley.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=""> Ok, here's one...<br><br><br><br><b>Did you know that you can search for all posts by a particular user?</b><br><br><br><br>
Click the "profile" button on a users post (or you can pull up their profile by clicking the "members" button at the top of each page) and then click the "search for all posts by this user" link in the upper right corner. Newest messages are listed first.<br><br><br><br>
If you jump to the last page (oldest posts) you can see some of the first posts people made when they came here. That's kind of neat. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/smiley.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="">

<b>Did you know that you can be notified via e-mail when you receive a private message?</b><br><br><br><br>
Go into the user CP and click on options. Change "Send you an email when you receive a Private Message?" to yes.<br><br><br><br>
You can also have a pop-up alert you to new private messages but you have to be on VB to get the pop. Just change "Pop up a box when you receive a Private Message?" to yes.
