So I took the advice I got in my other post, and I really put it to heart today. But now I don't know if I did well, so... here's my day!

Breakfast: A bowl of honey nut cheerios, probably about 1.5 cups

Lunch: Some bean salad (kidney and black beans in a bit of light italian dressing with some tortilla chips

Snack: Carrots and peanut butter

Dinner: 1 cup of cooked rotini pasta

Snack: A little more bean salad (that stuff is good!)

Snack: I had a small bowl of ice cream at 8:00 pm. I have such a big sweet tooth...

I took my dog on one 20 minute walk in the morning, then a 40 minute walk in the evening. I rode my horse for about 45 minutes.

So how's my day? I'm not trying to lose too much weight, just get healthier!

I dont see any fruits at all and only carrots for vegetables. For a healthy diet, you really need to focus on your fruits and vegetables (7 to 11 servings is a good goal). Maybe add some bell peppers, onions, corn and tomatoes to your bean salad and have a tomato sauce on your noodles with a huge green salad. Eat a banana or some strawberries with your cereal and ice cream. Maybe even substitute a bowl of cherries for your desert.

I have to third what they said.

The basic idea is great- just add more fruits and veggies into it

For example:

Breakfast: A bowl of honey nut cheerios, probably about 1.5 cups

with a handful of fresh berries and 1/2 a banana

Lunch: Some bean salad (kidney and black beans in a bit of light italian dressing with some tortilla chips

add some carrots, celery, artichokes or any other kind of veg to the salad

Snack: Carrots and peanut butter

Dinner: 1 cup of cooked rotini pasta

with garden vegetable marinara sauce with sauteed kale

Snack: A little more bean salad (that stuff is good!)

Snack: I had a small bowl of ice cream at 8:00 pm.

with some more berries overtop

I was wondering if you ate the pasta without anything on it. Pasta just screams "Vegisize me!!!"
