I have read that fish oil helps sooth psoriasis, which I have. Is it the EPA in it that is key, or combo of both EPA and DHA? The Deva supplement is just DHA, would this be just as effective as fish oil?

I understand the omega-3 conversion process, so does one really need EPA if the end result is DHA anyway?

I don't know the answers to your questions, so I'll just answer with another question. Isn't flax seed/oil supposed to serve the same purpose as fish oil, in supplying omega-3? Maybe you could just try flax instead of the fish oil.

From what I understand...

Flax oil has EPA, not DHA. The body converts EPA to DHA. However, vegans who don't get DHA have been shown to have less of it in their bodies than people getting DHA directly. Whether this is a problem, I don't know. Obviously many (most?) vegans do just fine with EPA sources alone.

But I have no idea which is important for psoriasis.
