I've been wondering if he'd let veg*nism slip into his national policies, and there it is, under "Water as a Human Right."<br><br><br><br>
Fascinating! I wonder if any Republicans will try to pick that apart somehow... Wouldn't it be interesting if veg*nism itself became a matter of debate at the national political level?

Why can't we have a majority of voters in the US that would actually vote for someone like this?<br><br><br><br>
Department of Peace... brilliant. I can't believe we don't already have one. Oh, that's right: our entire civilization is built on conflict.

I read through most of the issues - he seems okay (though I hope - regarding military spending - he cuts in the right areas - and not $$$ that support the Morale & Welfare of the troops....which always seems to be the first to be cut).<br><br><br><br>
Besides - he kind of looks like Fox Mulder of the X-Files<br><br>
(never a bad thing...... <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/smiley.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":)">

Oh, you know he will be picked completely apart. So far I love the man, but I think he is going to be eaten alive by the Republicans, and probably the media. They are sure to paint him as a tofu eating zealot.

Dennis is very approachable to. Once in a blue moon I see him around town and manage to say hi to him. I always tell him how wonderful it is that he's vegetarian and isn't hiding it under the blanket.

Yup. He makes Nader look more like a mainline democrat. I'm just happy he can stay in Congress, which some states don't allow.

Sure an odd, spiritual guy like Dennis Kucinich doesn't have a chance in hell. But it sure is nice to dream<br><br><br><br><a href="http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/g/a/2003/06/13/notes061303.DTL&nl=fix" target="_blank">http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cg...303.DTL&nl=fix</a>

Why wouldn't he have a chance? He's got a very strong following here. And he puts his money where his mouth is...not just lip service.

You're kidding right?<br><br><br><br>
Watch FOX News for an hour then tell me that Dennis Kucinich has a chance. The American people don't want honesty, they want someone to lie to them convincingly. Integrity and honesty don't mean crap, just ask Jimmy Carter.

Ah, money. That is a problem. Due to his unwillingness (go Dennis) to accept money from special interests, he can barely afford to campaign properly. Still, the word is getting out, and he is exciting people. I think he and Dean are going after a lot of the same Dems, though.

LOL. I was simply trying to make a link to that particular bullet-point! His platform is rather extensive.

It's widely known that Fox News does not represent the views of a lot of the United States. Maybe even most of it. It's a Republican propaganda outlet.<br><br><br><br>
But you're right, I doubt he has much of a chance in the long run.

Kucinich is 'da Bomb!!<br><br><br><br>
I agree he doesn't have a good chance of winning. Middle America would never vote for someone who's got such a fire under his a**. He's awesome, but I think Howard Dean is a bit more accessible to middle Americans. I hope Kucinich keeps up his struggles in the Congress if he doesn't win the election. We need everyone on our team we can get.<br><br><br><br>

Oh, I know that. I just feel that the very fact that those views are being expressed on a major news network is a sign that our country isn't ready for someone like Kucinich.

We'll see. I'm not holding my breath either, but I can't seem to let go of faith that folks will finally wake up, get involved in their community and who they are choosing as leaders, actually turn off the tv and turn on their minds, then all will function. I'm an optimist I suppose. I hope everyone isn't forming their opinions regarding whose running the show based on what they are watching on Fox.

Does anyone even bother to think that maybe, just maybe, Kuntitch won't be elected because a majority of Americans disagree with his views?<br><br><br><br>
Yes, Kuntitch will lose. Not because of money. Not because of Fox News. Not because Americans are "blinded". But because enough of us think he is full of ****.
