Hmm well so far, having tested this thing out three times, it has a 0-3 accuracy rate. If I kept trying it it might get it right once, but I don't feel like wasting my time on that.

skylark, that's weird. it's gotten it right for me every time, and i've done it five times already. if i just concentrate on a random symbol, it is wrong; but if i do the numbers and add and subtract correctly, it gets it right EVERY TIME.

HOW DOES IT KNOW????

AHA! the symbols change each time you try it. it's arranged somehow so that you'll always end up with a certain number or multiple or whatever, and the symbol just changes each time so you think it's different every time.

watch #9, the symbol for it comes up every time, just a different symbol each time. whew, not so scary.

it's still really cool though.

0,9,18,27,36,45,54,63,72, or 81

Aren't there email forwards that play off of this same idea? Something about the year you were born and the current date... oh, it was a couple of years ago, and I forget it now.

Speaking of spooky threads...

http://home.attbi.com/%7En9ivo/whatswrong.swf

Apparently the owners of this house had been seeing images and hearing voices for quite awhile. They did some research and found that a lady who lost her husband in the Civil War once lived in the house. Supposedly she used to sit at the table and look across the fields in anticipation of her loved one returning home. He never came. Previous owners have reported sightings of her near a window and decided that apparently she still waits. The current owners caught this photo of what they claim to be her. Its a little spooky once you see the image in the picture. Some people have said they heard really faint murmurings from their speakers, but you'd probably have to turn your speakers up pretty loud.

It took me a few seconds to find it, but when I did, it just stood out like one of those optical illusions. To save you some time, concentrate around the table, but don't focus too much on one spot. Look around the table and toward the window. It may take a minute or so to see...

Max,

The first time I looked at that picture thingy, I was using a computer without speakers, so it didn't get me too badly. Then I knew what to expect later on a computer with working speakers, and I just laughed.

There are 15 possible numbers you can come up with:

0,6,9,11,18,27,36,45,54,59,63,72,81,87,or 90.

Those numbers always share the same symbol. What that symbol IS changes everytime you view the page.

It's an OLD old mathematical trick.

But it IS still pretty cool.

oh i marked down 10 numbers, i found that sometimes they'd throw in other numbers with the same symbol to throw you off and then the next time those numbers wouldn't be the same as the others. i flipped through a few times and checked off numbers and narrowed it down to the 10 i posted. but i guess i could be wrong

lol pfft no not a math major, i was a marketing major
