cupcakes and world domination?

So has anybody else bought the cookbook "Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World" yet? It's by Isa Chandra Moskowitz, authour of Vegan with a Vengeance.

I got my copy about a week ago and have been cupcake crazy ever since. So far I have made the cookies and cream, cappuccino, hazelnut with mocha filling, and the S'mores cupcakes. I have loved all of them.

The next ones on my list are the Boston Cream, tiramisu, peanut butter, and maple cupcakes.

So, are vegan cupcakes taking over any one else's world?

My record was thirteen, cupcake.

And no, I don't have the book. But VWaV is awesome, so
on the pedigree.

I knew she was working on such a book, but I didn't know that it was out! Thanks!
I don't have it because I don't really have the time to bake cupcakes and I would make way too many instead of doing other things, but I drool daily at cupcake porn on the Post Punk Kitchen forums.
Ooohh.. I want some cookies and cream cupcakes.. and s'mores cupcakes... and Boston cream cupcakes..
I have it and looooove it! I've made about 10 or 11 different kinds so far.
Guys, do the recipes call for a lot of vegan shop bought substitutes or things that are pretty much unique to the US and/or Canada? I've had probs before with non-uk cook books where I just can't get hold of the damn stuff!

Anyone who knows me knows that there are two things I will run through fire for.

And one of them is cupcakes.

I must get this cookbook.

This is, to this point in my life, the greatest news I have ever received.

That is not an overstatement.

ETA: I have, almost literally, begun to weep openly.

Considering I have a first-grader and to a first-grader, it eems ANY occasion is a reason to bring cupcakes to school...

I can see where I need to buy this cookbook posthaste.

So - no chance of you posting a recipe for those of us who would like to sample ONE recipe before we take that plunge and actually commit to BUYING the book?
Oh hell yeah... pre-ordered that baby weeks ago and got mine as soon as it was available to ship. I got it 2 weeks ago but thus far had only time to try 1 recipe (regrettably... between work, getting ready for 'ween, having a broken oven and having to drive to philly to use my mom's and not having the $$$ to buy ingredients) which was the apple cider cupcakes with buttercream frosting and caramel glaze. Well, I'll just say I made 3 dozen - took a few to work, left a few home and they were gone in a day in a half. And I'm not even a good baker. Isa Chandra is a goddess...
I see myself putting this on my holiday wish list. Wait... wait... Now I see myself not waiting until December and buying it as soon as I can.

I don't have a copy but I'm sure if you drop Isa (the co-author) an email she'll probably be happy to send you a recipe. You can get in contact with her via her website, www.theppk.com, she's a really nice and funny person. Alternately, if you join the forums there and post a message explaining that you just want a recipe to test I'm sure someone will type one up for you.
Tiramisu cupcakes! Oh my. Must refrain from running to the store tonight
