I thought I'd open a thread where we can share the crazy things our lovable friends do. I'll go first: My dog does everything crazy. She chases her tail....why's that? You'd think she knows it's attached to her body. WHen she's hungry, she flips her dog bowl over upside down on the floor...now, that's just plain smart. She also has to go in 3 or 4 circles before landing in the right position to lay down. Why isn't one enough? I'm sure you guys have some funnier stories so lay it all out here.

My sister's dog thinks she's a cat. She likes to sit on the back or arm of a couch. She tries to lay on the pillow beside my head in bed, she also goes insane whenever she sees a ball. So far she's destroyed two of those small balls that are for dogs, a tennis ball, a small basketball, a soccerball and one of those 10 inch round ones that kids play with. They were all reduced to bits on the floor and now we're afraid to get her anymore unless they're made of metal.

My cats do the back of the chair thing... oh and the pillow thing. Something one of them does, that isnt too funny.. but costly, is chew on my cables. Even if I put on that bitter apple stuff. Oh well...

I also like when they do kitty boxing. They sit on their hind legs, and just bat each other with their front paws.

Haha, our cat thinks she's a dog too, epski. Sometimes I wouldn't be surprised if she just started barking (or has she already???). She lays with her head on her paw like a dog.

I think it's strange how she communicates with us. She has a spot on the floor where she goes when she is mad (i.e. if it's raining and she wants to be outside but can't, or when we gave her food she doesn't like).

One thing that freaks me out is that you never hear her come in the room. You think you're by yourself and all of a sudden you feel a tail around your legs or a little "meow" from right behind you.

Oh, and she farts, ewwwww!

Hopper (cat) asks Mojo (dog) to clean his ears... and she does... he walks up and shoves his head underneath her nose so she licks his ears, if she stops and he's not satisfied he butts her with his head. He actually leans into it. Very strange.

My rats love to dive in and out of my shirt over and over again. They think this is the greatest game ever invented.

My dog likes to hump the air. He's gotten quite lazy and now occasionally humps the air while laying on his side. He's been neutered since he was a puppy, but I guess it just feels good to him.

I think the best thing my cat does is that everytime I go to the bathroom, as soon as she hears the toilet seat go up, she comes running to me and has to be pet. If the door is closed, she'll sit at it and paw it. She also watches me while I sleep. Sometimes I'll wake up in the middle of the night to find her sitting by me and watching me, purring.

my small cat walks around the house with one of two stuffed bears in her mouth all the while crying--and it is bigger than her, so it is quite comical.

One of my four cats licks me on the mouth if I don't wake up right away to feed him. He also lifts his paw up and "waves". Another one of my furry sweeties plays a game with me that I call "Show Me the Face". She jumps into the bathtub with the curtain drawn all the way across and sits very quietly, waiting for me. I get on my knees on the floor and lean into the tub a bit, pushing the shower curtain in with my head and say, "Show me the face!" Then she chirps and pushes her face up underneath the curtain. She looks so funny, because she only puts her face through, not her whole head, and it looks like she doesn't have any ears. This is a game she taught me - I only gave it a name! She is also obsessed with being in front of my printer whenever I'm printing anything. She gets a really intense look on her face, and sometimes tries to reach in to get the paper. I love my cats!

I have a cat that likes to give me advice on the proper way to weed the garden. Whenever she sees me on my knees, bent over weeding, she'll hop on my back, lean over my shoulder watching, once in awhile give little chirping comments.

Another thing I remember. Our cat loves chlorine. If you come from the pool, she will start licking and biting your skin and try to eat your hair.

And she's terribly afraid of our vaccuum cleaner, must have had a traumatic childhood experience

And for everyone that doesn't have a farting cat... just be patient, one day you will find your cat farting, lol! Ours didn't fart for 14 years and then last year she decided to start it. It doesn't really smell though, just disgusting sounds. But we love her anyway

I have a beagle that thinks she is a cat. From puppyhood to adulthood, she has always done the "walking on the back of furniture" thing, and she has to suck on a pillow (generally her bunny pillow) and knead it with her paws the way cats knead on things. She also likes to lay above your head when you sleep, or in between your legs. She rings a bell to let you know when she has to go outside. If you give her a treat, she must bury it first, then dig it back up and only then, will she eat it.

I have a cat that likes to suck your ear lobes. He also likes to climb up on the clothes hamper in the bathroom and lay his head down looking side ways while his behind is sticking straight up in the air and then attempt to roll himself around while trying to remain in this position. He usually ends up falling off the hamper. He loves to do this when you are on the toilet indisposed....(or when he knows you can't get up and leave)

I love pets! I also had a guinea pig that would "weep" loudly every night at the same time until you gave him a carrot. One catch...you had to stand there and hold the carrot until he came and took it out of your hand. Oh...and I had a parakeet once that used to meow. Cool, huh?

One of my cats likes to eat with her paw most times. Instead of putting her head in the bowl and eating normally, she picks up each bite with one of her paws and puts it in her mouth. It sure leaves quite a mess when she drops half of it on the floor before it reaches her mouth.....and she often does it over the water bowl so that ends up with food pieces in it. Sometimes I wish they made a "kitty fork" I could attach to her paw .

my quaker lucie plays peekaboo. if i lay on the couch w/a blanket she will run under the blanket and stay there till i say "where's lucie" a few times then pop her head out and laugh...then i have to put my head under the blanket (still say where's lucie) then she'll stick her head under the blanket and laugh. she also loves that old song "miss lucie had a steamboat" and when we get to the line "miss lucie went to heaven and the steamboat went to hell" she nods her head "yes" to both parts and laughs

my cat, wednesday, rolls on her back when i ask her "where's my upside down cake?". she's also an ego maniac who loves to have her picture taken. my cat harley will sleep next to me in bed with his head on the pillow and his body under the covers. i can't help but give him kisses which results in him purring really really loud in my ear. sooo cute.
