Roasted chestnuts (no open fire though)

Roasted hazelnuts

Cranberries

Apples cubes

+cored apple halves

+drizzled with a cinnamon agave syrup

Cranapple Autumn Splendor

Where does one find roasted chestnuts without roasting them yourself? And when I roast them, they crumble when I try and peel them! Sounds yummy but messy and crumbly.

So post in the recipe section already.

do you cut a slit in the nut before roasting them so they open up some while roasting?

if not, try that.

yes, cut the little slit, etc., etc., still = crumbly bits of yummy roasted chestnut.
