TRIGGER WARNING: Graphic descriptions of animal abuse.
Cracked really seems to be getting into animal activism...almost, lately. They're still pro-meat as far as I can tell, but this article talks about some of the lesser-known ways pet stores abuse animals. It even goes supplier-level on some of them, such as the betta packaging for shipment (which broke my heart, I keep fish and love bettas) and frozen feeder mice.
It's...more than a little messed up, but nothing I saw was covered on Meet Your Meat or Earthlings, so it was...informative, even if it made me want to hit things.
