I had my first real slip yesterday since going vegan. I was out at a restaurant, really hung over from the night before (don't ask), and starving. The only real substantive meal they had that was veg*n was a gardenburger and fries, so I ordered it, even though I know that the original gardenburger patty isn't vegan. I didn't get cheese on it or anything, but I know the patty itself contains dairy.
I feel bad about it, but am not going to beat myself up. In 2.5 months this is really the first time I've intentionally eaten a non-vegan item. I guess it taught me that I'm still vulnerable to situations like that, and need to always make sure I'm prepared with good food options, and try to eat BEFORE I'm starving (and maybe not to drink so much the night before next time.
) I had to come tell you guys though.
