I thought some of you might be interested in this. It's a $5000 scholarship for vegetarian high school students who have promoted vegetarianism in their high schools and/or communities. If you're going to college, definitely apply for this. You'll need all the financial help you can get.

Just a heads up this thread is from 2011 so I don't think this would be valid anymore. Sorry!

The Vegetarian Resource Group, vrg.org, has been around forever so there is a good chance they are still offering scholarships. Check their website to find out for sure.

One thing for college students I'd recommend is going to the most inexpensive school possible, even if that mean's going to community college for two years and then transferring to a four-year-college with all your credits. That's what I wish I did. Even if you're getting all the help in the world, if you go to an expensive school like I did you may regret it. I am already in $20k in debt without any sort of degree. Plus, I'm transferring to a low-requirement school, anyways, just so I can get a job faster and pay off my debt. If I stuck to my school, my scholarship would've run out and I'd be stuck with nothing.
