How often do you buy clothes?

I don't like shopping for clothes, and make mine last a long time (I still wear clothes I had 10 years ago when I was 20..... many have holes and are ripped but still wearable). I also never see the type of clothes I got a decade ago available anywhere.

I also must say that when I DO shop for clothes I get jealous of the range of clothes available to females (sometimes I'll just buy female clothes because there's more of a choice and I can't find anything in the male section I like).

I truly enjoy bargain shopping for clothes from thrift stores, consignment shops, and garage sales. Wal-Mart is too pricy and too trendy. If I'm not careful, I can spend all day hunting down the best prices on unusual clothes.

Personal idiosyncracy--I don't like wearing clothes that have been worn by someone else, other than someone to whom I'm close, so I don't buy used. However, I'm a bargain hunter, and love the treasure hunt aspect of stores like T.J Maxx, so I shop there and at other similar places. I never buy anything at full retail price.

I love to buy clothes for my children. (Or other peoples) But, I have cut way back because they really couldn't care less and it is not environmentally friendly.

I recently picked up 7 pairs of really nice shorts for my 6-year-old at Wal-Mart of all places...all $1 each. (Most had been $10 - $15) I usually hate Wal-Mart, but sometimes they have really good sales.

I love a good sale. We used to pick up Ocean Pacific brand clothes for our kids at 75% off at the end of every summer, when we lived in Florida...and in Florida you could pretty much wear summer stuff all year.

I love to buy high quality clothing and then keep it a very long time. Yet, my favorite for every day, is a pair of Levi's and a T-shirt.

ohhhh I'm a designer freak....

I change my wardrobe every season and LOVE shopping. Though I haven't bought myself any clothes for 6mths cuz I've been so broke. I love fashion. But I'm also so proud of myself when I find a good bargain store. There's this Hound Dog store in Stones Corner which is soooooo cheap and you get the nicest stuff. But hey loving clothes comes with being a 19 year old gurl. I love shoes too, but I don't buy them that often.

I hate shopping.

Lately I've taken to looking for things from thrift stores too.

Wal Mart is pricey when you compare it to shopping at thrift stores. I guess it depends on how you look at things....I tend to think that clothes from anywhere are too expensive.

I used to love shopping. And then I graduated from college and had to pay pack student loans. And then I bought a house. And now I mostly find myself broke as joke. Woe is me.

I love finding eccentric clothing, which means I rarely shop at chain stores unless it's for something like socks or panties or if I'm looking for something kind of basic and classic. I love independent little boutiques, but they're usually so expensive that I have to save up to buy a particular skirt that's caught my eye, and by the time I get the money saved up--it's gone. Heh.

Part of a very big clothing shopping frustration for me (aside from it's affordability) is trying to find stuff that is at least made in the U.S. I know we've had the whole sweatshop debate here, and I'm definitely not trying to rehash that. It's just that sometimes I feel a little guilty buying something that's tag reads, "Made in Sri Lanka" or whatever. I just don't know what it took for that particular item to be made, which unsettles me.

What about returned items...are those considered used? The clothes I donate and see in thrift stores are generally in better shape/condition than the returned goods to Wal-Mart?

I used to shop SOOOO much! I spent all my money on clothes when I was around twenty or so. But this only means that I haven't had the need to shop at all for the past 10 years. But seriously, I very rarely buy clothes nowadays because I've promised myself that as long as my old clothes don't fit, I won't buy new ones. So I'm stuck trying to lose enough weight to fit into my teenage jeans

I'm usually in a pair of Dickies and a tank top. I order clothes online a lot, like Sailor Jerry or Lucky 13. I don't care about brands or whatever, if it's something I like, I'll get it though I won't buy Gap.
