My mom's twin is going to watch our cats next month while going up to visit my family for Christmas and look around for housing up there, she has a no kill kennel also where my cats will be at or she will have them roam in the house but anyhow, the boarding place is 500.00 for a few weeks here but, when my aunt watches them it will be way less, My mom and I agreeed to give her a nice Christmas gift of Thankfulness for watching our cats while being up there, Thanks for some ideas.

Perhaps a local specialty from where you are going. In Seattle, for example, we have field roast, applets and cotlets, theo chocolate, etc. She might appreicate that.

A homemade gift is the best gift, but I don't know if that's something you're willing to do.

Perhaps make some small lavender (or another nice scent) sachets for her lingerie drawer.

Knit or crochet something.

Bake some cookies. They don't have to have chocolate and/or nuts if she doesn't like or can't have those. Oatmeal raisin, for example.

Bake something other than cookies, such as lemon bars.

There is another idea, which might be too time consuming to do now: Put together a memory album of pictures of yourself, and you and your aunt, poetry and essays as a keepsake for her.

Thanks for the ideas, we are going to go ahead and bring them to a boarding place, it will be easier that way and we have a problem with my aunt being sick with cancer now.

Give her time hug her and then kiss and show that you love her and you have respect for her in your heart. I think if you give respect and attention to anyone then there is no gift better than that.
