So I am trying to figure out some new places to eat fairly cheap around town besides Subway. Is Chipotle a good option? It's a lot closer than Pita Pit (which I love), but I wasn't sure what the price was or how veggie friendly they were.

We used to have a Baja Fresh real close but it closed down last year, and there are no Qdoba or whatever you guys speak of .

By the way I am in Tucson if anyone knows of any other places to check out that aren't too pricey.

I eat at Chipotle quite often. Their website explains what is vegetarian and vegan on their FAQ section (click on "FAQ" then "useful"). The site also displays a mock-up of their serving line... and tells you whether each ingredient is vegetarian (click on "eat" then "line").

Hope that helps!

Chipotle is my #1 choice if I need to get something quick and cheap. Besides the meat obviously, stay away from the pinto beans (they have pork in them)..opt for the black beans instead. Other than that everything else is fair game.

Chipotle does have option - keep in mind that it is owned by McDonalds though. (if you care about that stuff anyhow).

Ok, I just looked it up - last time I looked they still owned some - I guess they didn't until just recently - October 2006. Sorry about that.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chipotle_Mexican_Grill

Thats true, I think McDonalds spun them off in October. They have always been independently operated.

People still post here that pepsi owns taco bell and that hasn't been true for over a decade.

Pepsi is independent, YUM! may own pepsi bottling facilities (which pepsi spun off with the restaurants)

Another vote for Chipotle. It's reasonably priced (I think around $6 for a HUGE veggie burrito) and delicious.
