Normally, I don't like to post negative reviews. However, I feel compelled to post this one. Short story: this frozen dinner is not worth it's price. It cost me $6.39 before taxes. That's a little pricey for a frozen dinner, but if it's good, I don't mind paying.

What's the scoop? Well, it is breaded soy-based "chicken" with rice (all vegan). As you can see from the photo below, it looks like it comes with broccoli. Nope. Just the chicken & rice. I can't say it's false advertising because broccoli isn't listed in the ingredients, but it's not exactly fair to show it on a bed of veggies when there are no veggies to be found.

My biggest problem with this dish was the fact that it was over-breaded. There seemed to be more breading than soy chicken. Combine that with the fact that half of the dish was rice, you are mostly getting starches. Then there is the taste factor. There was none. It was very bland, even by microwavable meal standards. For one of the first times ever, I did not finish my meal. I threw away about 1/4 of it due to it being so unappetizing. I tried. I wanted to like it. I looked for some saving grace.

This company also makes a "Beefless Mix Vegetable", which I also purchased, but have not tried yet. I'll come back and post my thoughts on it when I try it.

Conclusion: save your money and spend it more wisely than I did. This product is not very good. I had high hopes for a newcomer to the veg*n market, but if they can't give us an edible product, then it's not worth our time.

I have now had the "Beefless Mix Vegetable". It was slightly better than the Sesame Chicken, but not by much. The faux meat had a decent texture, but lacked flavor. After a few bites, I pulled out a soy sauce packet and that helped bring some flavor to the dish. That helped me to actually finish the dish.

In good conscience, I can't recommend Beefless Mix Vegetable, either.

China Mehadrin General Tso's Chickenless

I honestly have been looking for this product. We bought it in Winn Dixie in Miami a short time ago and have not been able to buy it again. We loved the taste. It is an amazing vegan dish and it is also Kosher. Plus. Wish we could buy it again
