I found a similar recipe on veg web but wanted to share anyway. I made this for my DH and we both loved it.


1 can chickpeas

2 Tbsp vegenaise (more or less - to your taste)

1 tsp mustard

1 pickle, diced

1 tsp ground flax seed

fresh ground pepper (& lots of it!)

In a medium bowl, mash the chickpeas (a pastry blender works really well). Then, add all the other ingredients & stir until well mixed.

makes 2 - 3 sandwiches.

I toasted some rye bread, put this filling in the sanwich, and threw on some lettuce. super yummy.
