Sure! Where do you live? In the US, there's Yves, Follow Your Heart and Morningstar brands of Faux Chicken <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/smiley.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="">
Are you interested in vegetarian (lacto-ovo) or vegan?<br><br><br><br>
I have had Morningstar Farms Meal Starters Chik'n Strips and they're vegan and pretty darn good. I'd say they're probably one of the best products for using in recipes. You can make fajitas, add them to stir-fries, casseroles, whatever. I also recommend their Steak Strips. (But most Morningstar Farms products are not vegan.)<br><br><br><br>
I've also had Quorn, which is non-vegan and tastes pretty good. They make breaded patties and nuggets that are yummy. They also make "Naked Cutlets" that are supposed to imitate boneless skinless chicken breasts, and they're pretty dry. They make some other products as well, but those are the only ones I've tried.
I would recommend Morning Star Farms <a href="http://www.kelloggs.com/cgi-bin/brandpages/product.pl?product=4971&company=23" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Meal Starters Chik'n Strips</span></a>.<br><br><br><br>
Or Worthingtons <a href="http://www.kelloggs.com/cgi-bin/brandpages/product.pl?product=280&company=41" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Tender Bits</span></a>. Although these aren't strips, but they do the job.
Hey TOG, the Morningstar Farms Chik'n Strips are certified vegan. Ditto the Steak Strips. It's just all the OTHER Morningstar Farms stuff that's not.<br><br><br><br>
Here's the list of their vegan items:<br><br><a href="http://www.kelloggs.com/brand/msfarms/health_nutrition/vegan.shtml" target="_blank">http://www.kelloggs.com/brand/msfarm...on/vegan.shtml</a><br><br><br><br>
Hey, I think that officially marks the first time I've seen someone recommend a Worthington brand item. I've been scared to try them because... well, they scare me. Do you like any of the other Worthington products?
I just tried the Morningstar Meal Starter chicken strips. I tasted it by itself and wasn't thrilled, there's some kind of seasoning on it, but I'm thinking once I toss it with something else, it will be quite tasty. I was pleased with the texture, not knowing what to expect.
