Wow. Anytime factory farmed chickens are talked out people never fail to respond in horror, as if they're hearing about those conditions for the first time. Happy hour bars, appetisers, and of course entire restaurant chains all hold the chickens wing as their claim to fame. Wing eating contests spout up at fairs across the nation. But a lack of Sunday football has so much demand it could put a dent in the industry? That's sick.
Time to get more leaflets and remind people (again).

Wings have always been especially disturbing to me, it's a whole plate of body parts. And how many chickens have to die for each serving of wings? Ghastly stuff.

A friend of mine wrote a little rant about wings that I quite like:

Chicken Wings: Because You're Worth It?

I don't normally do this but I just can't seem to restrain myself this time. Wouldn't wanna make you feel alienated BUT....

I don't understand chicken wings. You want a bucket of chicken wings? Think about it, and REALLY think about it:

-->How many wings does a chicken have?
-->How many wings are in your bucket?
-->How many living creatures were grossly mistreated and killed for you to have your bucket of their body parts?
-->How much will you enjoy your (their) wings?
-->How much pain do you suppose the birds endured before they died so you could eat their wings?
-->How much nutritional value are your chicken wings offering you?
-->Do you need their wings in order to survive?
-->Should they die for you to have their wings anyway?

And after you've done all that math, the final question:
Do you really think you're worth it?

It's so stupid. It seems that chicken wings have replaced potato chips as the mandatory food for couch potatoes. (Due in no small part to intense marketing by the chicken industry, no doubt.) Most of the time, they are slathered in so much sauce I doubt the person can even taste the chicken.

Whoa, that is disgusting. I have to confess that even in my meat-eating days I've never once eaten a chicken wing. The mere thought already grossed me out back then. (Same with anything else containing bones - yuck!)

This for sure. Seems like something made with seitan and drenched with the same amount of sauce we be pretty much the same thing sans the cruelty...
