I can not believe this has been going on six years! Seems like just yesterday I was waiting along the wrought iron fence in front of the Pulaski Park Fieldhouse, shivering from the cold, wondering what lay ahead inside, to eventually fight my way through the crowd in the gymnasium, trying to get a taste of some delicious vegan foods.

Anyway, Chicago VeganMania 2014 will be at the Broadway Armory again on October 11th (Saturday). Opens at 10am, ends at 5pm. Not much has been released yet, but some of the guests that will be there are Jasmin Singer and Mariann Sullivan of Our Hen House; David Robinson Simon, author of the book Meatonomics; Robert Cheeke; and Lauren Ornelas of the Food Empowerment Project.

I got some notices about this from veg mailing lists in the area I signed up for. I've never been to anything like this before, but it's relatively close to where I live (near north suburbs), so I'm considering going.
