PETA has outdone themselves with a hilarious anti-Burberry website featuring Chavs. Frankly, this is so refreshing from their usual websites based around disturbing images.

I hang my head and admit I have a "Chav" purse, cotton jacket, and pair of bellbottoms. As a small town American I had no idea these beige plaid items make me a Chav. (They aren't even Burberry, they're knockoffs.)

......very funny website. its chavtastic, infact. i especially like the 'origional chav' version... which isn't really work safe- 'exspesialy if you coreckt the spelinz. i wonder if the chavs know that peta is kinda takin the pizz outta them.

I was about to write something about how this site falsely gives the impression of ARAs as rich snobs who sneer with contempt at poor people, and how it's bad for the cause, but you know what? Forget it. If the vitriolic, mocking hatred on display on this site doesn't speak for itself, I can do nothing to make it any clearer.

Actually, I found that site to be bloody hilarious!! I doubt it is meant to be taken as a serious social commentary or a mocking of 'poor people'. Since when did being 'poor' give anyone an excuse to be a scummy chav anyway?
