I am curious about what catalogs people shop from, and what they buy. I guess I am talking about both paper catalogs and on-line catalogs, although I tend to want to see a paper catalog, even if there is an on-line version as well.

It just seems that I can find all kinds of products that I can't find in brick-and-mortar stores.

I ordered a few of these portable kitchen timers from Walter Drake because unfortunately I sometimes have started cooking things on the stove, then thought I'd just check my e-mail briefly or take a quick look at VB, and by the time I got back to the kitchen more time had elapsed than I thought and the food was burned. Hence the timer. It's a bit cheezy, and it ticks rather loudly, but it fits my purpose, and I will give some to friends. (I could not find anything similar in the stores.)

I also bought some of these elasticized bowl covers for a friend who uses them. I could not find them in the stores either.

So, which catalogs are you shopping from? And what kind of things are you buying?

I bought a bunch of presents for people from Collections Etc. and Lakeside. Collections Etc. has lots of cool stuff for really low prices. Nothing's over $20, most is $14.99 or under. I ordered some jeans from Alloy, but ended up returning both pairs because I have the most oddly shaped/proportioned body in the entire world and nothing ever fits right.
