I was happy to hear this today. As much as I love many cats who have passed, without their passing, I would not have been able to love new cats in need of homes. It's a valuable lesson to learn. Like Alan Alda's book- never have you dog stuffed. He named it that because as a child his dog died and he was so sad that his dad had it stuffed. But when it came back, it didn't look like the old dog. It actually looked mean. It taught him a lesson that it's good to learn to move on.
