Can Vegans eat things that 'may' contain animal products?

I always check the ingredients to be sure but what is your opinion on eating these sort of products?

Those are cross-contamination warnings for people with severe allergies. The food in question was produced on the same machine as another food containing dairy, eggs, nuts, etc. Personally, I eat it anyway, but I wouldn't fault someone for being extra cautious. I also use cooking pans that meat eaters have used, and eat in restaurants that serve meat-- out of necessity, not preference-- but some vegans don't feel comfortable doing so, and that's completely understandable.

I agree with no whey jose: I think everyone draws there own line on that (based on comfort level). It doesn't bother me to know some mild cross-contamination was possible I just make sure the animal product isn't listed as an actual ingredient.

I would still say this, if possible go for a vegan brand(as in specifically stated as vegan) this would help out companies who are inline with our philosophy.

This is a good idea...

In the UK the Vegan Society logo is often used on approved products :)

Agreed with all of the above :)

I personally would still be 100% ok with eating it since the product doesn't actually contain any animal products but the warning is there for allergy purposes. However still best to buy/consume vegan brands' products to support the cause - only when possible so no worries if that option isn't there.
Hey, I still eat Clif bars on occasion I personally don't stress on the May contain warnings. I go by the ingredients listed cause what else can I go on ?

Agreed with all of the above. The only time I'm put off by the "may contain" warnings is when a product "may contain fish." A few years ago I saw that on a bottle of flax oil and just couldn't get over it. I think it's because fish are gross. They creep me out.
