Alright, I just had to share the fact I made calzones yesterday for the first time ever. I have a breadmaker so I didn't have to knead the pizza dough by hand - It was ready when I got home!
I didn't have a lot of stuff in my house so this is what I put in it: pizza sauce, lentils, garlic, mushrooms, peppers, dried parlsey, pepper and salt. It was surprisingly good. One of the calzones popped open in the oven, and I didn't role the dough thin enough. but mmm.mmm.mmm good.

I have leftover dough in my fridge - I wonder what I'll have for supper. lol.

I LOVE calzones, but I haven't tried any since going vegan. I've yet to get brave enough for the cheese substitutes!!!

But you didn't mention any cheese so I'm wondering if you just omitted it & it still turned out good? I know when I make pizzas I just leave the cheese off.

I have a breadmaker but don't use it much, my crockpot however I use ALL the time!!

I actually didn't have any cheese in my house so I didn't put any on. I am not a vegan so I've never tried the vegan cheese. But it was really good with no cheese!

Oh cool! That's good to know, 'cause I don't do cheese.

Thanks for the tip!
