Mission: The Veggies Boards Hamster Club, is a group of fitness/health minded vegans and vegetarians who support each other in their endeavors in fitness, diet, and health. Woohoo!!! Starting the week on the right foot. Did 20 minutes of yoga in the morning. May have more to add, not sure yet. (I'm still recooperating from the power (astanga) yoga I did on Friday... my legs are killing me!!!)<br><br><br><br>

finally back into a routine! exams and travel messed me up..then i had two small kids attacking me every moment i was awake, heh...<br><br><br><br>
today:<br><br><br><br>
45 minutes running on the treadmill<br><br><br><br>
45 minutes yoga<br><br><br><br>
500 situps so far..i'll do the other 500 later<br><br><br><br>
i may run some more later too...got lots of energy (and i know why)....

Yesterday was fairly packed. I walked to the library and back, which took me like 35 minutes, then went to the gym and did weights for half an hour, then walked a mile around the track outside.<br><br>
Today wasn't much, I went bowling with my little sister!! Not real strenuous, but it was fun. I might walk to the movie store in a minute.

Did anyone see the simpsons today? In it, Homer started walking places because his license was revoked. And he loved it! Such a nice message. Until he got hit by a car which his wife was driving, but still, the walking thing.

Okay, I did wacko exercise today. I ran and ran to try and get a kite going. And then I ran and ran when my five year old daughter got angry about not being able to get the kite going and decided to take off through the park and I had to chase her down. (don't ask, it was ugly). However, I did quite a bit of sprinting in a pair of sandles not truely meant for running and was quite sweaty and warn out at the end.<br><br><br><br>
Tonight I'm diong yoga...need to wind down. Remind me never to split a caffeinated tea with my child again (tazo blueberry something or other). She dropped her orange juice on the way out of the store and I didn't have the cash for another drink...so I split it with her. I don't think she's ever had caffeine before...and I'm thinking now she never will again <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/wink3.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=";)"><br><br><br><br>
Okay, breathe in breathe out...ommmmmmmmmmm

Okay, I've not been a very good hamster when it comes to posting. Bad me.<br><br><br><br>
I did my hill run today -- OUCH!!! I haven't done a hill run in a while -- there are muscles in my legs I forgot about. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/smiley.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":)"><br><br><br><br>
After I follow Corri's example and do some strenuous laundry (it *is* lifting! And in my case, there are flights of stairs involved...), I'll do my lower body weights.<br><br><br><br>
Sky -- happy mother's day!! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/grin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":D"> I'm sure your kids are aware of how proud you are of them & how much you love them. I didn't see that Simpsons, Corri. Wish I had!<br><br><br><br>
Today I rode 3 miles on my bike and played lots and lots of tennis. The tennis ball often lands on top of my lavender by the driveway when we play at home and this morning we kept hearing a leaf rustling sound after ball landed there. I thought it was a mouse. Later when we were playing again I saw the cutest, tinest little bunny run out. He was so precious!<br><br><br><br>
My bike is working great after being in the shop. It was definitely worth the $20 bucks to get a new gear cable and everything adjusted. Rides and switches gears so smoothly now.<br><br><br><br>

Walked and did 20 minutes of power yoga. Got my buddy into it aswell now <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/smiley.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":)">

Yesterday (Sunday) I had swing dance class...there is a janitor's strike here in Lund, so we couldn't get into our usual facilities...we danced in the park! It was so nice, even if it's a little hard to turn on grass.<br><br>
Tonight we have the usual social dancing....2+ hours of sweaty fun! <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/carrot.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":vebo:">

Friday- Moved, heavy lifting, worked on putting furniture in the right places<br><br>
Saturday- Cleaned old house including bottles from basement, some move moving, cleaning room<br><br>
Sunday- Cooked, cleaned, took beer bottles back, 1/2 an hour spin class, ab work<br><br>
I dunno if its fitting, but I'm pretty exhausted.

Hi fellow hamsters! I'm about to do my 20 minutes of Power Yoga (isn't it the best, iceflower?) and then later today I plan on doing 20 min cardio on the elliptical machine.<br><br><br><br>

I Hamstered! First run in about 5 days cause of having the crud. I did a slow 5 miler and walked a couple on top of it. It's good to get sweaty!!

I did a 45 minute yoga class this morning, then did 45 minutes on the treadmill. I like doing my workout and then yoga afterwards, but my mom has a really hard time doing yoga after she's worked out. So, since I go to the gym with her, I kinda go on her schedule! Does anybody else have a preference as to which comes first: yoga or workout?

I guess it depends on the type of yoga or how long the session, but typically I prefer yoga first because it gets me warmed up. Especially if I'm exercising in the morning. Mayeb at night I would do it the other way around? As sort of a cool-down?

Saturday - I helped a friend move so I did tons of physical activity, but I ate a LOT of cookies and drank a lot of pop. He had four dozen cookies for us as a thank-you. I must have climbed his stairs about 200 times because we had to reserve the elevator for the heavy stuff. Sunday - I went shopping - Does that count as activity?? However this week should be fairly routine: today - treadmill and weights, tomorrow: bike or ellipse, Wednesday: Stair Climber and something else, Thursday: bike or ellipse and weights. The weather is quite dreary so it looks like a total gym week.

catch up from last week.<br><br><br><br>
Didn't run Friday or Saturday because i twisted my ankle bad. I had it aced up and it's better now. I still did all my sets of situps and pushups and even added a set to both because it was creasing to be a challange. I am running with SD today and will do my 3 sets of pushups and situps.

yoga later too...30-45 minutes?<br><br><br><br>
damn it feels good to not sit on my ass!
