Where do people stand on this?

I have no problem with it. Environmentally, much better than what we've currently got going on. Ethically, well, everyone's gotta make their own choices. I have had insect before going vegetarian, but I won't be eating them now because, as with meat, I simply see no reason to. But if someone else wants to, not my concern.

That said, some of the insect I did have, which includes everything from grilled silk worm pupae in Asia to tarantula legs in South America, was in my opinion better and healthier than the crap most people eat in fast food restaurants anyway.

And they call vegans elitist??
There are lots of people who include insects as much needed protein.
To go the trouble of using insects in haute cuisine is elitist.
