The last real movie I saw was "Bring out your deads" or something like that with that guy who always plays the desperate drunk guy. Passable, but far from great. We were going to see "Yes men" today, but the DVD was damaged.

Quote:

I generally think it's a waste of time to watch a movie again if I've already seen it, although my "movie memory" is exceedingly small, so I tend to forget the plots and such... Some movies that I have seen more than once are: Mulholland Drive. The Quest for the Holy Grail. Life of Brian.

Quote:

I tried to be interested in wine for a while, but it didn't seem to catch on.

I don't think it's possible in it's purest form. Without the nation-state, monopolies or semi-monopolies will eventually form. These corporations will increase their own liberties at the expense of everybody else's liberties.

Maybe Arne Næss Sr., since he's the only real philosopher whose lectures/talks I've attended. He is the founder of deep ecology.

The day the king died. I was in junior high, and we were given the rest of the day off. It was in the middle of winter and the bus that was supposed to come a pick us up was probably in a ditch somewhere because it was very slippery that day. It was also windy, so we could hardly walk a lot, but if we just stood up straight, the wind would push us in a mostly homeward direction. Ah, those were the days.

Weetabix + a little musli + soya yoghurt + soya milk + 1 banana. It's a little bit on the sweet side, so sometimes I skip the yoghurt.

Quote:

Hm. I like it here in the UK. But then both Jen and I miss Chicago. Maybe a posh university neighbourhood in Chicago? On the other hand, I grew up and have lived most of my life in a quiet rural/suburban area, and enjoy waking up to the sound of birds singing and wind in the trees.

Quote:

If it can really work, ie. provide the nutrients, taste and so on that the cat or whatever needs to thrive, I think it would be great. But the jury is still out on that one for me.

Hm. Obviously not so much the food... Women have and always have had a relatively strong position in Norwegian society, so that's a good thing. Also, the Norwegian mindset (if such a thing exists...) have traditionally been very independent and anti-authoritarian, probably much due to people living in remote and inaccessible areas where people in power found it too much of a pain to get to. There are many stories of tax collectors meeting with unfortunate accidents and premature deaths when trying to go there. This independence is also evident from the many dialects - people developed their own dialects and never adopted the language of the elite.

Quote:
