For some people it can be genetic. Does your family have high blood pressure? Do you smoke or spend a lot of time around smoke?

Regular exercise will reduce it. However, see your doctor first.

http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/hbp/treat/treat.htm

I used to have borderline high blood pressure (140/80) when I was 13. When I started eating healthier, my blood pressure came down and is now (at age 19) about 112/75. There are a lot of factors that could contribute to high blood pressure.

Do you exercise? That will help lower your blood pressure.

Do you drink plenty of water? That will help lower your blood pressure.

Do you eat a lot of salt? That will raise your blood pressure.

Or if you have a problem with your kidneys, that could be part of the problem. I don't know what exactly too much creatinine would do besides making your body more acidic, but if your kidneys are secreting too much renin (a hormone), I imagine that could increase your blood pressure. Drinking a lot of water should help with that though. I would talk to your doctor about it though. Definitely make sure you're eating plenty of fresh fruits and veggies, drinking plenty of water, exercising, and not excessively eating salt. If that doesn't seem to do anything, then see your doctor.

High blood pressure might cause kidney failure. Kidney diseases might cause high blood pressure.

See a specialist on hypertension.
