It seems the healthier i eat the worst my bloating is

I need help, is there anything i can add to my diet that will help decrease the amount of bloating i get? I tend to bloat terribly after eating a lot of fresh fruit, salad, beans, and whole grains?

I had this problem awhile back and found that I was combining food wrong at meals which was making it worse! I also found drinking too much fruit juice made me very bloated as well...I would look at the types of foods your eating together..maybe try to eat one thing at a time and see if that helps as it sure did for me!

I read in some crazy food combining book that fresh fruit should always be eaten by itself, and at least an hour after a meal. While I found the rest of the book to be mostly bull, I adhere to this. Fresh fruit mixed with other foods always makes me feel bloated.

I read this article in the paper that said its a natural thing and ironically, its the healthy food that cause the most bloating (like whole wheat, beans, legumes, broccoli, spinach etc). The guy writing it suggested that exercise (like bending over 10 times) a few times a day should help to fix the problem, and also to occasionally give your system a break and have a fruit day - apparently fruit doesn't make you blaot as much, though I hate to think what a whole day of only fruit and water would do to your digestion. Heheheheh

I know most of you dont like taking medication, but I have too. I take Beano to help, and it sure does.. it allows me to eat beans, raw vegetables and such, without getting that bloated feeling.

Thanks for all the tips

I think walking and more water should help.

I'd recommend getting an endoscopic check to see if you don't have stomach or duodenal ulcers. Bloating was my main symptom, not pain.

Indeed, I found that bland cooked food caused less bloating when I had my ulcers, and that raw vegetables were the worst. Raw fruit wasn't too bad tho. The gentlest food was simply sipping soymilk.
