I'd bet if you do a search, you'll find some ideas. There was a whole thread recently about b.s. molasses.

My mother eats it on bread. I think the stuff is dreadful. Unless it's in cookies!

and wow, TNS , you really hate it that much?!?!?! i just had a thiiiiick layer on really good bread with almond butter...ohhhh

Ah. I meant to search on VB. http://www.veggieboards.com/boards/s...archid=1935670

I used to try and use it in things like cornbread or gingerbread cookies. Blackstrap on cereal or bread or something...well, I'm in TNS' camp. Blech blech blech.
I still haven't been able to find it...I think I'm going to have to resort to ordering it online....I'll let you know whose camp I'm in after I try it!!

Baked Beans uses molasses.
Blech, blech, blech. Yes, I hate it that bad.

However, if you MUST use the stuff these recipes are good. If you like the flavor of blackstrap molasses, you can use it instead of "light" molasses in these recipes and it's fine.

Gingerbread cupcakes.

Southern BBQ Sauce (Use it on tofu or seitan instead of steak obviously!)

Molasses Cookies (or 'Froggers')

Baked Beans (there are millions of recipes out there, take your pick)

Mmm, yeah. That's the only other way I like it. In cookies, and baked beans. But on bread or whatnot... *shudder*

it's funny because i LOVE blackstrap molasses and i find the "light" stuff to be totally nasty. like, all watered down or something.
I am so excited to try it! I placed my order online...I'm specifically curious to try it with peanut butter...
in gingerbread or mollasses cookies

My mom would have us drink molasses milk when we were growing up - instead of putting chocolate syrup in our milk, we'd stir in blackstrap molasses. Tastes much better when the milk is cold.
