I have a month to design and conduct a lab or an experiment for my IB Biology course.

I'm trying to look online, but so far, nothing... and the thing is, I can do anything I want...

So yeah... I know this is kind of broad... but any ideas what so ever?

Thank you.

I was just watching the news about spirulina being used for long space flights as a source for protein.

Maybe you could could get a spirulina culture, grow it out (I assume algae doesn't take all that long to grow), extract and measure protein content (assuming you have access to the equipment needed and maybe a prof to show you how to use it). I'm pretty sure GF columns can be used combined with a mass spec for protein but don't quote me on that.

If all goes well you can write an article about your findings and submit it to various veg magazines, sites etc etc.

That might be way out there lol so sorry if I'm of no help.
