Anyone ever see or use these before? It looks good, but I wonder if it really is.

At a trade show, I saw an australian company that made box inserts out of the same 'cornstarch plastic'. Looks and feels just like semi-firm plastic but degrades in water, right in front of your eyes. I talked to the sales guy and he said they were having trouble selling it as manufacturers weren't interested. I guess thats where consumers need to make their feelings known...

That looks cool, it's good to know that the bag'll degrade with 45 days, as they say. I use biodegradable bin liners, but I think they take longer to degrade (need to be put to the ground first, I believe, and take more than 2 months), and I don't think they're compostable in that sense. Those biobags seem ideal for composting. Can you get them outside of Canada?

The price will go down once many are more are purchased. They gotta make a profit to stay in business. Once a big demand is made then more will be produced bringing the per-unit price down.
