Did anyone catch it last night? He was talking about various things and then brought up how the top 4 selling drugs that pharmaceutical companies make are for stomach disorders. He said that people should worry more about what they're eating, and said some anti meat and dairy things. Leno changed the subject fairly quickly, but at least he got out some good stuff.

I didnt see it but get the feeling Leno is pretty much a meat eating kindof guy ..... when Pamela Anderson was on she was talking about her vegetarianism and said 'well you eat this pasta dish' and he said 'well yeah but with a huge meatball on top'.

I have to laugh at the commercials for tums or something. These people are eating all this stuff which gives them upset stomachs, heart burn and whatever else and instead of adjusting their diet, they reach for a fix-it pill so they can continue eating their normal routine LOL ....... sigh!

I saw that. Yeah, Leno changed the subject very quickly. I really respect Bill Maher though. He brought up a lot of good points, but I don't think the audience was "feeling" him. Leno is very conservative and so his core audience (I think). But at least Maher got it out there...Is he vegetarian? It sure sounded that way.

Leno can be a real jerk, but I have seem him sweet talking about his kitties, so for that he gets a few points. He was awful with Pam Anderson, I wanted to reach through my TV & smack him. He was insinuating that veg food was nasty and that if kids pretended to like it, it was because she was hot and they really spit it out and head to McD's...grrr.

I love all the celebrity vegetarians, I think they help our cause immensely, I just wish some were a bit more outspoken. I was shocked to find out Josh Hartnett was a vegetarian. It really burns the omni's that give you a hard time if you can point out someone they admire (or are hot for) is a veg*n. Hehe.

Saw him on there. This is the 2nd time I've seen Bill Maher talk about how humans aren't supposed to drink cow's milk because it's intended for cows! He said, "would you suck on another animal's teat?" Leno said, "no" and Maher said, "well why..." then Leno interrupted him..

first time I heard Maher talk about this was in his standup routine. I wonder if he is veg. It wouldn't suprise me at all. He's a member of Peta & even wrote a book with Ingrid Newkirk on saving animals, so... *shrug*

I've been a fan of Leno for a long time. I think he mainly likes to keep things light hearted and that often requires changing the subject or teasing the guest (as in the case with Pam Anderson). He actually got her to talk about the subject in the first place if I remember. I don't think you could expect much better from an omni trying to keep a fun show from being a political debater or other downer.

He also brings up that Keven is vegetarian all the time. Sometimes he's teasing him, but at least the idea is out there.
