If anyone is a fan, this lady, Kiran Ahluwalia, is incredible. Born in India, she grew up almost completely in Canada. I have heard her on the radio a few times, and finally, this time, I went to Éspace Musique's website, and found out who she is. The link is to her website, and you can listen to all of her music from the site. It is absolutely beautiful.

Listen up!

Great music, nookle! Thanks!

I'm only on the third cut at the moment, but will likely listen to the rest. This past week I've been using as driving music the CD of Natacha Atlas "Diaspora". I like pretty much any music of the East and Middle east, both folk/traditional and modern. I think one of the earliest I was exposed to was Muslim Gauze and their CD "Zul'm". Now I hunt this music down where I can find it, like on weirdomusic.com or radiobastet.com

What kind of radio station do y'all have up there that plays this kind of music? I would guess a public station, like here. Unfortunately, the shows locally that could play this kind of genre are talk shows and don't get into the depth of musical variety available from the East.

Anyway, thanks for sharing the link. If you know any more, post away!
