Who likes to barter/trade services when you do something for someone or someone does something for you?

I've always liked this method, and know a guy who is really into it.

My bartering/trading has included computer services in exchange for music/instrument services with people I know, and I did deliveries in exchange for vegetable produce. Tonight I earned myself some telephone/network services.

It's great avoiding dealing with money.

I'm really not into that kinda stuff. I'm quite surprised, I always took you for more of a ladies man

I agree. I think it's fun and rewarding in so many more ways than just shelling out cash to some person you don't know for the things you want/need. I'd like to trade some recipes/cooking lessons or rubber stamps/stamping lessons or other craft project help for other stuff/services. Hey zoebird, you come help with my yoga and I'll make dinner!

Now...somebody with a lawn mower.....

Oh yeah, I have an accordian too that SOMEDAY, I'd like to learn to play, but I know I can't afford lessons anytime soon, so finding someone that'd be willing to barter lessons would be great! Unfortunately, those people aren't listed in the phone book!

I like the idea, but I rarely find it serviceable here in L.A. Everyone's always in need of cash to pay their bills.

I've traded with a number of individuals. Money is a bore, and I think everyone places too much emphasis on it. Trading is much more interesting and fun!
