I need foods that have a long shelf life, are energy dense and would be good for long backpacking trips. What ideas do you have?

Plenty of granola/granola bars(bought or homemade) Luna/Cliff?Lara bars etc. Bring bread, peanut butter, jelly, apple butter, etc. Nuts/seeds/fruit. How long are you going to be gone??

Well this is also going to be food I store away for emergency situations so it has to be able to stay on the shelf for a year atleast and then I can keep rotating fresh stuff in.
