You can read my what I wrote about the restaurant where I ate here:

KC's a nice city. Maybe I should consider living there. I'm in Omaha, NE now, which I really like. However, my job sucks red imported butt hairs and I've been looking for work here in Omaha. Kansas City wouldn't be bad though. There's obviously a larger vegetarian community there. I liked the larger veg community I had when I lived in Denver. I moved away from Denver because the altitude made my migraines much worse.

I do like Omaha's small town feel and how easy traffic is here. You can get almost anywhere in 20 minutes. And I'm a part of the local music scene here via my photography. However, I've resigned myself that if I want to date women, I'm just going to have to live with going out with meat eaters. I guess that's not horrible, but I've been in a relationship with another veg*n, and that is certainly a good thing to share. It would be easier to make that happen in KC.

I'm thinking I should apply for jobs both in Omaha and KC and see what happens. See what my options are when I get offers.

I almost laughed tea out my nose. Red imported butt hairs...going to have to remember that one!

I like KC a lot because of all the unique communities within the metro area. I have "brothers" (bestie's family has basically adopted me) that are both chefs down there. We spend a great deal of time in the City Market and Westport areas when we go down to visit. We can spend the better part of a day just in the Asian groceries and City Market...especially on the weekend when all the farmers come in to sell their goodies. I've lived all over the country, and KC has always been one of my favorite places.
