it's 2:57 a.m.

i woke up a short while ago realizing that my brother is about to move in with his new girlfriend. he's taking his oldest daughter and their female, unspayed dog, Sasha. his new girlfriend (who lives in an apartment) has an unaltered male dog. it must be my lucky day. i get to spay another one of his animals because he's too much of a dink and they would let her breed to death otherwise.

I think *every* child should be well-educated in grade school about why cats & dogs should be spayed/neutered for this very reason.

My mother teaches 4th grade and she has the humane society come in and talk to her students about this, as well as how to treat animals. It's a simple thing to do in schools- wish it was a requirement.

Sorry to hear that, Raine, but at least you'll be preventing more unwanted companion animals. It's just too bad that your brother can't take the responsibility himself.

**edited because it's too early & I can't form sentences. **

the hard part is going to be getting him to let me do it. i tricked him out of letting me have his cat spayed (they also have a male cat and together they produced countless kittens!).

keep your fingers crossed for me. i'll be calling him later today. and THANK YOU for all your supportive comments.
