Cruelty-free skincare and cosmetics firms are booming. Can hair color companies be far behind?

That's great to hear. I hope that means many of the more major corporations will stop animal testing.

Not just animal testing but using animal products in their cosmetic and beauty products - most do because its much cheaper than using a vegan product (see http://www.veggieboards.com/articles...ients-list.php )... the book Vegan Freaks talks about the 'rendering' process in which the animals are boiled down after most of their parts are taken and how the results are used in practically everything ... animal testing is horrible but so are the deaths of the animals whose 'end results' are used in beauty products ....
