Do you think avocado would be an okay substitute for tofu in a vegan spinach-artichoke dip recipe? Or should I just stick to tofu?

I have made several dips with thick cashew cream instead of tofu and it works amazingly well. For a dip I would blend about 3/4 c. water to 1 c. cashews until thick and creamy, if your blender struggles just drizzle water in while blending until it becomes creamy.

I love guac, but it's not really what I'm looking for - I was hoping I could somehow mask the flavour with others... but cashews are a good idea. Thanks!
