So, I've been using a three step product over the past three months or so. The stuff is mostly vegan, except the moisturizer has honey in it. It worked to clear my skin up a bit, but not totally and I still have breakouts.

I was thinking of trying another line when im done with it(i still have half the stuff left to use) but im tired of wasting money, guessing at whether or not something will work for my skin. I want CLEAR skin. I also need a fading cream for my acne marks. ive tried to get the most vegan friendly face products over the past few years, but since my recent explosion of adult acne kicked in last year, im just not getting good results. so im going to go to the dermatologist and get some prescription products for my acne itself and my marks.

I'm pretty sure these wont be vegan, but im just checking in with you guys. Are any of the prescription products for acne and skin related issues ever vegan friendly?

As far as I know, no they aren't. FDA approved medication is always tested on animals as required by law.

That being said, if you need it, use/take it.

I am also dealing with adult acne. I have had some success lately with products and guidance from acne.org. You don't have to buy the products that they sell (they are quite expensive), but they are vegan and have worked for me. Unfortunately, the treatment is VERY drying to my skin and the products smell pretty bad. There is no fragrance to cut down on the oils in the products.

I don't know about any medications. If I continue to have skin problems, I may see a doctor and explore those options.

Yeah, I'm making an appointment soon.

Thats really sad, though. That's one of the huge road blocks in spreading the concept of kindness to animals. Although, I guess I can understand it, even if it makes me sad.

Try vegan toothpaste that isn't tested on animals, if that exists.
I put toothpaste on my zits and sleep with it on, and it tends to dry up my zits/make them go away! You have to do it for a little while though, but I've had success.
