I think most candles are made of beeswax? But my aunt just gave me a really pretty tealight holder and I want to use it-are tealights made of something else, like paraffin?
If they're not is there somewhere I can buy vegan ones?

I'd guess that theyre paraffin, but dont hold me to it! Beeswax candles tend to be labelled as such as its a selling point. to be honest, I recently bought some tea lights (rainbow coloured) and didnt even stop to think about the veganness. oops.

I just googled "vegan tealight" and loads come up. Etsy seems like a good one. Ooooooo or you could make your own, how exciting.

It never crossed my mind tea lights wouldn't be vegan! I should check what's written on the package of the ones I bought.

Petition your friends and family for earwax donations. Voila - vegan, home-made weirdly-scented candles.

None of the cheap tea lights I have at home now even say what they are! I also have wax melts for my oil burner which do not say what they are made from. I have certainly found lovely soy candles around though. A craft market that runs every saturday in my area has amazing smelling soy candles. When I use up more of the ones I have already I am going to buy some of those.
