I'm liking the look of how you see for instance in the screenshots the shot of google and yahoo panes alongside each other! http://www.tablane.com/screenshots.php?tab=screenshots

Firstly this browser also got my attention when I was looking at a (or THE) language google tranlsation group, and topic in that group showed me a tip that this browser will incoporate google translation into its browser, as well as its side by side 2 panes of window feature (mentioned above). http://www.tablane.com/screenshots.php?tab=screenshots

See where I got the tip here: http://groups.google.com/group/googl...5503f3f6c39b9a

(yes I was looking up japanese at the time)

Do any other browsers you know incorporate google translation ?

Flash Demo:

http://www.tablane.net/demovies/TablaneLaneIntro.html

http://www.tablane.net/demovies/TablaneTabsIntro.html

PRO: the BROWSER is FREE !!!

I think I'll give it a whirl myself! but likely not if I have to buy T-Clipper to make Collections work!!!?? Note: I think "collections" feature(favorites/tabs) DO I THINK come with browser and PROBABLY will carry on working after the T-Clipper goes inactive (BUT I'll have to check up on this).

As well as its features of Tabs and Lanes/(dual Panes etc), its fast! Easy on system resource(s), takes much less memory than Firefox.

The Tablane Browser (v 1.8) is free, with no restrictions on distribution or time period.

New versions of both products are released regularly at no additional cost to the user. Changes to products are driven directly by feedback we receive from our users.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

SOMEWHAT A CON: (but which I'm sure I don't think will bog down with 2 in 1 download, ie, the Browser COMES WITH T-Clipper)

I'm GUESSING a SOMEWHAT? disadvantaged, con as I can always find other image/text clip software for free at the end of the day and not need this....soooo as for The T-Clipper ...its not necessary for the browser to work to browser as I understand it, but yeah T-Clipper has the con of only being free for first 30 days).

I think T-Clipper has to be downloaded with the Browser though want it or not, but anyway I don't imagine you don't have to worry about it.

Collections: Says its associated with T-Clipper but as I say I'm NOT 100% that this is exclusive to T-Clipper, the COLLECTIONS/(FAVES) aspect.

COLLECTIONS FLASH DEMO:

http://www.tablane.net/demovies/Tabl...ionsIntro.html

Quote:

You can easily view 2 tabbed windows side by side in Opera. Just open 2 windows, then do Windows > Tile Vertically. To maximize their size, you can close your address bar, the main toolbar, the menu, and even the tab bar, before hitting the Tile Vertically key. All you are left with is the windows Window-bar across the top. Almost like fullscreen, but you get to have each tabbed window in a halfscreen instead of taking up a whole screen. And you keep your scroll bars. Tho you can turn those off if you want, with either a button or a keypress.

I have my tab bar toggled on-off by F6. Once I get my tab bar back by pressing f6, I can press a button on it to get my main bar back, which has buttons to get all the other bars back. There is a button on the toolbar to toggle the menu on-off, but additionally I can toggle it on-off with a keypress.

In Opera's standard configuration, Tile Vertically can be toggled on-off with a keypress or a menu choice. If you like you can add a button to do it. The advantage of using a keypress is you can remove the menu and toolbar first, then when you toggle Tile Vertically on, the 2 windows will fill the whole screen. Actually, i think the standard config includes a button to toggle Tile Vertically, as well as a keypress and menu choice, but I removed my button because I didn't use it very often.
