I've lost 40 pounds on WW. I've been stalled since I started transitioning to veganism right after Thanksgiving last year, as I was really focusing more on learning what to eat, new recipes, etc. I'm ready to get started again, and just wondering if anyone here is also doing WW. I do it online, and they have a veggie board, but it is really slow!!!

Fatfreevegan.com has become quite an addiction of mine lately...

I did WW back in 2001, which was way before I became vegetarian. I had lost 45lbs. But I slacked off the last 3 years and off course the weight creeped back on.

I had only gone to WW once since I made the switch...that was back in June.

I finally officially started back this Saturday. AND I had only put on 2lbs since June! That surprised me! But I'm going to be looking for some good veggie recipes too.

I think this time around is going to be better.....I'm not wasting points on meat!

Nice to hear that there's some veggie options for someone using Weight Watchers. My dad is doing it right now and showed me some of the materials and it looked like with the point system that it took in to account 'meat alternatives' like veggie burgers and such. I'm not at a point to start anything like this yet but wondering how its going for you online ... part of what appeals to me about WW is the whole support part of it ... from what I've heard the meetings can be supportive.

WW is great online as well as going to a meeting. You also have a support group online in the community section. I have WW online and went to the meetings. I like them both.

I have done Weight Watchers. I'm still a life time member and weigh in monthly. I lost 20lbs on WW before veganism, and 20lbs after veganism.

I just started the Weight Watchers program online last Thursday. Im using the point system and can eat whatever I want. The online points tracker has tons of vegetarian/vegan alternatives already programmed into it. Things like Silk, Boca, and all types of hummus are really easy to find! They have a great online community that has a seperate section for vegetarians/vegans. So far...I give it TWO THUMBS UP!!

Sounds good LizzieJoy - may hit you up for advice too if I go this route ...

I'm hoping transitioning to veganism will help with weight loss (I'm not doing it for weight loss but I'm hoping that will be a positive side effect : )
