Here's a very anti-vegetarian <a href="http://www.biblelife.org/bowel.htm" target="_blank">website</a> I found whilst surfing. It has a lot of fun "facts" such as this:<br><br><br><br><div class="quote-container"><span>Quote:</span>
<div class="quote-block">There is an epidemic of young college women who have already blown their guts out from eating the vegetarian diet. They suffer persistent constipation or diarrhea because of a diet of fruit, whole grain cereals, bagels, beans, rice, tofu, and soy milk. They stop menstruating, have hair loss and dry skin problems. Running and the high-energy veggie drinks and energy bars make it worse.</div>
</div>
<br><br><br><br><br>
and this:<br><br><br><br><div class="quote-container"><span>Quote:</span>
<div class="quote-block">Women more than men tend to shun red meat and saturated fat as advised by the USDA Food Guide Pyramid. They eat some chicken and fish but in insufficient quantities. Women more than men have been brainwashed into believing red meat and saturated fats are unhealthy. Some women have become so brainwashed they say the thought of eating red meat and saturated fat "actually makes me gag." Carbohydrates are substituted in the diet in place of the red meat and saturated This is the reason women to have a much higher incidence of autoimmune diseases than men.</div>
</div>
<br><br><br>
Yep... we women are just evil. First we ate the apple and now we can't get off the carbs. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/wall.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":wall:">

How on earth do people manage to come up with this stuff? Even if it did make me laugh <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/images/smilies/grin.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title=":D">

wow, its best to just ignore them. what site is it?<br><br>
also theres sufficent evidence that a vegan diet stops a lot of autoimmune diseases from even occuring. also, a diet low in saturated is good for you. *BIG SIGH* no matter what we do the pro meat eaters will never listen to reason

I do the same. It makes me so angry that they tell all of these lies when you know there are people out there believing it. But it is funny just how wrong and absurd this stuf is.<br><br><br><br>
For instance:<br><br><br><br><div class="quote-container"><span>Quote:</span>
<div class="quote-block">Humans are very highly carnivorous also.</div>

Ironic that the this silliness is on biblelife.org.<br><br><br><br>
"Dietary Fiber Theory. Scientific Proof Fibre in the Diet is Unhealthy."<br><br><br><br>
my favourite quote from that page. Pure absurdity considering that the scientific report talks about EXCESSIVE fibre and not normal fibre intake.

I find it hilarius when people call humans carnivours. Looks like they need to check their Biology text book again.<br><br><br><br>
This part is just plain stupid.<br><br><br><br><div class="quote-container"><span>Quote:</span>
<div class="quote-block">Meat and Animal Fats. The primary factor in healing intestinal diseases is eating meat and animal fats every meal. This cannot be overly emphasized. The complete compliment of amino acids and essential fatty acids are the primary nutrition elements from which the body builds tissue and the immune system. These can only be found in meat and animal fats. Meat and animal fats also contain vast amounts of vitamins, minerals and other nutritional elements. This diet cannot be adapted to the vegetarian lifestyle. There are no combinations of food from vegetable sources that can provide the complete nutritional requirements necessary for healing. Most vegetable sources contain offending carbohydrates, fiber and allergic factors that are the causes of intestinal diseases, not the cure.</div>

this is just odd... i am part of a healty eating club at my work. The majority of participants are women. I always have a bean burger on whole grain flat bread with lettuce, tomato and sprouts and what ever veggies I have. It looks and smells so much better than the "diet frozen meals" Now most of the members have stocked the freezer with morning star sausage patties and bean burgers. The ladies all eat "veggie" at least two meals a day, and they have all lost weight and have dropped BP and cholesterol. I am by no means a nutrititionist, but when they saw how good my meals looked compared to "frozen diet turkey" they wanted to try it. I don't discuss my vegetarinaism unless asked. I offered samples of what I was eating and they loved it. -side bar- I saw my doc. last month and had some blood tests. High cholesterol and diabetes runs on both sides of my family. My tests came out great. My doctor said that with a family history like mine, it is good that I eat the way I do.

Augh! People are just awful. What I have never understood is the need for people in a majority to crush the minority... I guess they know they are completely wrong and feel threatened by us. LONG LIVE THE VEG*ANS!

Wait, wait, wait... so a Bible website is relying on scientific proof? Am I the only one who sees something wrong here?</div>

I loved that the "diet" says that no cookbooks should be used, and no spices are acceptable. Can you imagine? LOL!

"Avoid those starchy vegetables that grow below the ground such as potatoes, yams, turnips, beets, radishes and carrots. Avoid pumpkin and winter squash. Never eat lettuce."<br><br><br><br>
But I like potatoes. Lol.
